Nd:YAP/KTP 540/1079nm (Q-Switched)

Dual-Wavelength Emitter

Overview

This compact emitter plugs into the MULTILINE™ base unit and delivers two wavelengths: 540 nm and 1079 nm. It supports three distinct treatment families on one platform — vascular, tattoo, and hair removal — with unique regimes and clinical protocols for each

Vascular treatments — Target Creation Technology® (TCT)

What it’s for

Facial and leg telangiectasias, hemangiomas, and rosacea-related networks. (Not a therapy for varicose vein disease—this requires another laser emitter – Nd:YAP 3-Wave Scalpel.)

How it works

TCT stages the action in microseconds:

540 nm

engages hemoglobin to create a highly absorptive intravascular “target”

1079nm

hen couples to that target to complete vessel coagulation with high selectivity and a lower epidermal load

Tattoo removal — Deep Acoustic Wave™ workflows

What it’s for

Professional and amateur tattoos, including multicolor designs.

How it works

DAW uses pulse-train photoacoustics to fragment pigment layer-by-layer so deeper ink becomes accessible in the same pass. This emitter contributes:

540 nm

for reds/oranges and some warm tones

1079nm

for black/blue pigments

Hair removal — QOOL-epilation® at 1079 nm

What it’s for

Comfortable hair reduction on the face and body across all skin phototypes, including tanned skin.

How it works

The 1079nm laser source delivers millisecond-long trains of nanosecond pulses. Energy concentrates inside the hair shaft while the gaps let surrounding skin cool, heating the bulb/bulge with minimal skin burden

Note: 540nm is not used for epilation.

Key specifications

Wavelengths:

540 nm and 1079 nm (Q-switched)

Pulse format

nanosecond micro-pulses (single shots or pulse trains, program-dependent)

Spot size

3–8 mm

Repetition rate

1–5 Hz (by program/area)

Why clinics choose this emitter

True versatility, clear protocols

one compact head supports three high-value services without mixing indications

Selective, efficient treatments

staged dual-wavelength logic for vessels; color-matched wavelengths for tattoos; hair-focused pulse trains for epilation

Platform simplicity

swap emitters as needed while keeping the same base unit, presets, and training workflow
